# Reference Uploads

Upload PDFs, slides, or text as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) sources.

* **Choose File** → MIME auto-detects (edit if blank).
* Select / type a **Metadata Tag** (auto-complete from existing tags).
* **Upload to RAG Store** – progress bar tracks chunking.
* Manage docs in *Ingested Documents* list (delete icon).
