# Quiz Builder

The Adaptive Quiz Builder instantly transforms highlighted lesson text into Bloom-aligned formative questions—no coding required.

The Quiz Builder is a point-and-click wizard that lets you generate self-scoring quizzes in seconds. Highlight any passage in **Lesson Preview**, give the quiz a clear name, pick a cognitive tier-aligned format (True/False, Single-Select, Multi-Select, Numeric, Short Answer, or Confidence-Based MCQ), set the number of questions, and click **Create**. The builder auto-generates clean HTML with built-in scoring logic, Bloom’s-taxonomy tagging, and a floating **Viz Card** you can drag into place or refine later through the Visual Editing flow—making it effortless to weave low-stakes assessment directly into your content.

> ✏️ **Quick start:** Highlight any sentence in *Lesson Preview* to open the **Quiz** dialog.

### Workflow

1. Select a **Course** and **Lesson**.
2. Highlight text using mouse from the lesson → **Quiz** modal appears.
3. You may edit the selected content or describe the quiz topic.

4. Fill in: **Quiz Name**, **Type** (MCQ, Short Answer etc), **Number of Questions**. Details about available quiz types in the following table.
5. Press **Create** – a floating **Viz Card** appears. See the [Visual Editing operation](/mindengage-docs/common-dialog-boxes/visual-editing.md) for editing the quiz by re-prompting and placing in the document.
