* **Course site** shortcuts
  * **VIEW IN NEW TAB** – opens the live course site.
  * **COPY URL** – copies the course URL to your clipboard.
* **DOWNLOAD** – exports the selected course as a `.zip`.

> ### What’s included in the .zip
>
> * **Lesson content** (HTML/Markdown) by section
> * **Quizzes, Visuals (Diagrams and Visualizations, Presentation Decks) and Deep Dive topics as HTML files.**

{% hint style="warning" %}
The JavaScript libraries used in Visualizations which are hosted on CDNs will not be included in the downloaded .zip
{% endhint %}

### Use the Downloaded `.zip` (Offline Viewing)

Your course export is a self-contained static site. Follow these steps to open it reliably on any desktop OS.

***

#### 1) Extract the archive

**Do not open files inside the `.zip` directly.** First, unzip it.

* **Windows:** Right-click the file → **Extract All…** → choose a folder → **Extract**.
* **macOS:** Double-click the `.zip` (Finder creates a folder next to it).
* **Linux:** Right-click → **Extract Here** (or use `unzip course.zip` in Terminal).

> Keep the folder structure exactly as exported. Files like `index.html`, `quizzes/`, `visuals/`, and `deepdives/` must stay together.

***

#### 2) Open the course

Option A — **Open the file directly (quickest):**

* Double-click **`index.html`** in the extracted folder, or
* Open your browser and press **Ctrl/Cmd + O**, then select `index.html`, or
* Drag `index.html` onto an open browser window.

Works in current **Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari**.

Option B — **Serve locally (recommended for interactive media):**\
Some browsers restrict `file://` pages (CORS). If images, videos, or interactive widgets don’t load, run a simple local server:

**Python 3 (any OS)**

```
cd /path/to/extracted/folder
python3 -m http.server 8000
```

Open: `http://localhost:8000/index.html`

#### 3) Navigate & use

* Start at **Home** or **Table of Contents** and click through sections.
* Use the browser’s **Back** button and in-page navigation.
* To create a PDF of a lesson, use **Print → Save as PDF** from the browse
