# Course Editor

he Course Editor is a split-pane WYSIWYG workspace that lets you live-edit lesson HTML, preview updates instantly, and embed any previously generated asset—all from a single screen.

**Key regions**

| # | Region          | Description                                                                                             |
| - | --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1 | Selectors       | Pick the **Course ▸ Lesson** you want to edit.                                                          |
| 2 | **Danger Zone** | Permanently delete the current course or lesson—use with care.                                          |
| 3 | Edit Buttons    | Toggle the editing lens: **Lesson**, **Quiz**, **Visualization**, **Deep Dive**, or the **Course TOC**. |
| 4 | Raw HTML pane   | Directly edit or paste HTML; changes sync live to the preview.                                          |
| 5 | Preview iframe  | Renders the page in real time with automatic base-URL handling, so links and images resolve correctly.  |
| 6 | Save / Reset    | **Save Changes** persists edits to the server, while **Reset** rolls back to the last saved state.      |

**Embedding existing items**\
Click **Edit Quiz / Visualization / Deep Dive** to open a picker that lists all assets you’ve already generated. Preview any item, then insert it with a single click—no need to leave the editor.
